Ministry Changes
back
to top
This
month’s newsletter will be different from the normal format. Lord willing, next
month I’ll be back with another interesting story and application to our
relationship with God. But this month I want to explain some of the changes in
the ministry that you will begin to see in the next few months.
I have never been more excited about what God is doing in and through the ministry. I am so grateful for how the ministry has grown through the years. As the ministry has grown, I have had to grow personally to keep up with it. Behind the scenes the ministry has been making changes to help me continue to focus on ministry while making sure the business side of the ministry is taken care of. And in the middle of all the ministry changes, I’ve been making changes on a personal level as well. Last month I sold my home in Tennessee and am now residing in Florida.
With all the changes, I wanted to make sure you are in the loop with everything that is going on. Here are a few questions that you may have.
Will it cost more to bring you in for an event now that you live in Florida instead of Tennessee?
No. The ministry has a budget for travel expenses based on an average cost per event whether I am driving or flying. So our budget has not changed. Also, we do not charge the host organization for travel expenses. If the church or organization is able to help with travel expenses it is appreciated but never required. So this move will not affect the cost at all.
Why is the ministry’s new address in Arizona? I thought you were moving to Florida?
We have moved our administrative office to McNeal, Arizona to better serve you. Here’s how the change came about.
In November of 2008, I began the process of closing down the ministry office in Tennessee. I am only home about 8 to 10 days a month and it made no sense to have an office in Tennessee when I was rarely there. At that time, I made my office completely portable. I use my laptop, wifi, and mobile broadband to access files, email, and the information I use from the internet. Now, where ever I happen to be, I have my office with me.
My friends Jeff and Jackie Schaa are missionaries with New Tribes Mission. Jeff is a missionary pilot and is currently working in administration for New Tribes Mission Aviation in McNeal, Arizona. Jeff also serves as a board member for Timothy Mark Ministries. For the past few years, his wife Jackie has been helping me behind the scenes as an administrative assistant. It has been a great help to have her on the ministry team. She works from her office in Arizona and with the internet we are able to email files back and forth. She handles most of the administrative side of the ministry to free me up for the work of ministry on the road. For example, when you donate to the ministry with a check, Jackie is the one who records it and sends you a receipt for tax purposes. She manages the email newsletter list, assembles and publishes the newsletter, and manages the online schedule. She also is the primary contact for the host organization once a ministry event is confirmed, along with a host of other responsibilities.
Since I am on the road so much, I often do not have access to the post office box in Tennessee for weeks at a time. Sometimes folks will email the ministry asking if we received their donation because the check has not cleared their bank. The problem is their check is still sitting in the post office box in Tennessee while I am somewhere around the world. So recently we made the decision to use the Arizona address as our administrative office address. Back in February we began forwarding all of the ministry mail to the Arizona address. Going forward we will be rolling out this change across the ministry. We use a national bank with locations that are convenient to me when I am on the road and also convenient to Jackie in McNeal. With this change, we will be able to make sure your donation is taken care of more efficiently. And when you send a personal note, Jackie will forward it on to me so I will still be able to keep in touch with you. The new mailing address is:
Timothy Mark Ministries
3870 W. Davis Rd
McNeal, AZ 85617
I have a donation envelope I picked up at a live event. Can I still use that envelope to make a donation?
Yes. You can still use that envelope but there will be a delay when the post office forwards it to the Arizona address. Forwarding will expire in February of 2011. You can begin using the new address immediately.
How do I reach you?
The easiest way to reach me is still via email at timothy@timothymark.com. My number is currently 931-797-2027. Also, the ministry’s contact information is always posted on the website, in the newsletters, and in the signature of my emails. Email is usually the easiest way to reach me.
Again, I am very excited about all that God is doing. The schedule is packed and I am grateful for the privilege of serving the Lord in this ministry. Please feel free to let me know if you have other questions. As always, I appreciate the prayer. Thank you for the part you have in the ministry. I appreciate it so much.
Till next month,

After many requests, I have finally set up a Facebook page. And I have to admit, it has been a lot of fun. You can stay connected by adding me as a friend. You can find me at http://www.facebook.com by searching for my email address: timothy@timothymark.com from the facebook site search box. Or just follow the link below. I am posting updates with news from behind the scenes. This will also be the primary means I’ll use for sharing prayer requests. So if you are interested in supporting the ministry through prayer, this would be a great option for you. I’ll look forward to connecting with you there.
